Custom parameters for Synchronization Scripts

Hello-
Is it possible to pass custom parameters over & above the
already possible parameters ? For eg: the documentation says
- for a download cursor - the first parameter is a
"last_download" and the second parameter is "ML_username" --
Is it possible to pass more parameters for further filtering
download Rows ? If so how ?
I am referring to:
Adaptive server Anywhere version : 8.0.1.3098
Mobilink Synchronization version : 8.0.1.3098
