Default Database shuts down - 12-18-2004 , 09:37 AM

Hi,
I have a server which is running 4 ASA databases. One of these is under
replication. I recently moved this database from another server because I
think the server was confronting hardware problems.

Since the database is shutting down periodically, I'm suspecting that it
might be corrupt, and I plan on unloading it and reloading it to see if that
solves the problem.

Since this particular database is under replication, I have a few questions
of which I need advise:

1) Will this unloading and reloading affect the replication?

2) This database is an ASA 8 database, should I also proceed to upgrade to
version 9 on the reload?

Thanks in advance,
Edgard L. Riba

What errors are being reported when the database shuts down?

For unloading/reloading a replicating database see the following section of
the 8.x docs:

SQL Remote User's Guide
11. Administering SQL Remote for Adaptive Server Anywhere
Transaction log and backup management

Unloading and reloading a database participating in replication

*Note - these instructions apply to any database replicating using SQL
Remote
