Default Problem with remote unloading - 10-12-2006 , 07:52 AM

Running ASA8.0.2 on Ubuntu5.10.

In the past I'm sure I've been able to unload database structure from Sybase
Central running on a Windows client machine, but I don't seem to be able to
do this anymore (and I've tried several different clients). The "Unloading
Database" utility window reports:

***** SQL error: Database server not found
Could not unload the database 'rtm6000_m1011'.

All other features like inspecting table structures and ISQL work fine.

If I ssh into the Linux box and run the dbunload command there, it works
fine.

Any ideas?

TIA
Alex

Further to this, running dbunload on the remote machine also works, so I
guess it's a problem in Sybase Central not running dbunload with the correct
parameters.

So I guess I'm happy with running the command-line utility from windows...

That just looks like a connection parameter issue.

If you supply everything you have in the connection boxes and everything
you have in the command line, we can comment.
