Ales Ales, In addition to Josh's comments, please note that while we attempt to support the various incarnations of Linux, there have been some... interesting... bugs when addressing particular file system formats. In particular, asynchronous I/O can be potentially problematic: http://search.sybase.com/kbx/changer...?bug_id=343923 If you're finding that your particular file system is corrupting your database file or the engine is failing to load the database, you may want to try out the "-ua" switch to see if it makes a difference.
