Default Windows ODBC Driver for SQL Anywhere - 08-25-2009 , 07:13 AM

Hi all,

I have been searching high and low on the Sybase webpage to find this.
Upfront, I know diddly-squat about SQL Anywhere...

But we have a SQL Anywhere DB on a machine with some data we want to
publish, for this we have SSIS job that extracts this data into a MS
SQL DB. I have this running on my dev machine since I have installed
the developer edition of SQL Anywhere which includes the ODBC drivers.
On my SSIS server we would prefer not having to install a "fullblown"
SQL Anywhere installation just to access the DB on another machine. It
does not appear as though the installation package includes a "driver
only" option, so is this possible? Possibly a separate "driver only"
download, link or directions would be much appreciated...

Thanks

Depending on the version of SQL Anywhere, there should be an install
option for only the client components. In SA10 and later, you can use
the Deployment Wizard. Alternatively, you can manually install the
driver as per the deployment documentation. This is all subject to
licensing.
