Default Where is Sybase Central gone? - 11-05-2009 , 06:54 AM

We are using ASA 11.0.0's Sybase Central tool quite often.
Now we noticed that when installing ASA 11.0.1, there is no Sybase Central
tool included anymore.
Why? We expected 11.0.1 to be just a collection of bug fixes. So was Sybase
Central considere being a bug?

It should be included. Which install are you using?

Hi Markus,

If you're doing a full (as opposed to upgrade) 11.0.1 install, double check that you're using an 11.0.1 key, not an 11.0.0 key. They've changed.

Markus,

besides the case of the missing Sybase Central:
In contrast to an EBF - which is primarily focussed on bug fixes - a
maintenance release like 11.0.1 is supposed to contain enhanced
functionlity, too.
Otherwise it would not come with a new set of documentation.

Regards
Volker

iAnywhere's German sales representative did not tell us that the keys have
changed from 11.0.0 to 11.0.1... Seems I should give here a call...

Markus

What do you mean with "which install"? We're running "SQLAnywhere11.exe"
(2.11.15.0), i. e. the one that you can download from the Sybase server when
clicking on Win32 Maintenance Release 11.0.1.
