Default Is there a registry hack to stop SCJVIEW into screen? - 11-07-2009 , 09:01 AM

Hi,

For 9.x and 11.x --- isn't there a registry hack to stop the INTRO (PURPLE)
screen to stop appearing when going into SCJVIEW?

-Robert

Hello,

Doesn't work with V11.01

Just tried it.

You guys really need to try and open SCJVIEW through Terminal Services and
you'll see what the issue is with the paint display on it.

The code I linked to works fine for me.

*Note: The file for Sybase Central in SQL Anywhere 11 is
".scRepository600", not ".scRepository"

====
1. Make sure Sybase Central is shut down before modifying the
configuration. ("End Task" on "scjview" from Task Manager).

2. Add the lines:

SCRepositoryInfo/Config=test
Config/test/ShowSplash=false

below the line:

SCRepositoryInfo/Version=4

To the file "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Sybase Central
6.0.0\.scRepository600"

3. Restart Sybase Central.
====

---

To disable the splash screen for Interactive SQL, add the line:

<entry key="isql.splashPage">0</entry>

To the file "%USERPROFILE%\.isqlPreferences11"

The splash screen is a 30KB graphic - I don't understand why this would
be problematic accessing across Terminal Services with a decent network
connection. Is the problem that Sybase Central takes too long to load?
Does this time get significantly cut down when disabling the splash screen?
