Default sybase console access - 09-14-2009 , 07:20 PM

I spend much of my day remoting into customer sqla servers. Depending on
the method used to remote me in (and, I suppose, the "interact with the
desktop" setting), I will sometimes have access to the sybase console icon
in the system tray and sometimes will not have access.

How can I see the information that would normally be displayed in the sqla
console window, if the console's icon is not displayed?

Thanks,
Doug

You might not want to rely on "Interact with Desktop" as Vista and later
do not permit this option.

DBCONSOLE is a utility that can be used for monitoring the engine.
Alternatively, Sybase Central displays the last portion of the console
output.
