Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 are very different
operating systems. Make sure that the version of SQL Anywhere that you
are running is supported. There are specific EBF levels for v902,
v1001, v1100 and v1101 that are needed that are different based on
whether you are running Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
See http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=1002288 for more information.

It's very minor but running under Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 with 10.0.1.3960
the OS is reported as:

I. 01/11 14:50:11. Running Windows Vista Build 6002 Service Pack 2 on X86
I. 01/11 14:50:11. Server built for X86 processor architecture

The Virtual PC Guest OS acknowledges 'Windows Server 2008' so I don't think
it's that (but I could be wrong...).
