Default Silent Installation of Adaptive Server Anywhere 6.0.2 - 10-22-2007 , 08:11 AM

Hi, I haved followed the article at http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=47920
and have successfully created and used the described responsefile. However,
in this responsfile there is a (seemingly) hardcoded value:

RootDirectory=C:\Program Files\Sybase

Is this line really hardcoded, and therefore likely to break the
installation on non-english systems, or is the Sybase installer smart enough
to only use this as an identifyer and translate it to something else, eg.
C:\Programfiler\Sybase, as needed?

Ottar,

As far as we found, this is hard-coded. The approach we chose was to
change this line from our "umbrella setup" which calls the silent install
before calling it.

Ok, thanks. Will try to solve it the same way as you did, then.
