Yes you can.

Since another's vendor's application is being impacted
here, they should be consulted to see if 8.0.2 breaks
something in their application first .... but ...

A full version of 8.0.2 should be able to run the
authenticated database and (assuming the connection
string conditions can be made to find the server and
specific database; eng=___; dbn=___ the vendor's
application should continue to function as it did before.
