Default Possible setup package bug in x64 ebf 9.0.2.3924 - 01-15-2010 , 09:06 AM

I haven't redone an installation to confirm this, but it appears that
ebf 3924 for 9.0.2 x64 puts out an old version of dbjodbc9.dll.

I had installed the 9.0.2 x64 developer edition, and then the x64 ebf
3924 update, and couldn't figure out why my app was failing with an
error saying it was unable to load the jdbc:ianywhere driver. After a
bunch of digging, I found that the dbjodbc9.dll was version 9.0.2.3044.
Replacing it with the one from ebf 3886 made everything start working.

Can you check to see whether it's your install, or me that is nuts?

David,

Was the dbjodbc9.dll in use at the time you applied the EBF? If so, the file might not have been
over written.

I checked the software and did find the dbjodbc9.dll is version 3924.

I don't think so, but can't be sure now. I thought I had deleted the
entire Sybase folder structure after doing an uninstall, but WinSvr2008
tends to hang onto things in very strange ways sometimes.

Ok, thanks for checking. I had been screwing around with this so much,
there's no telling what its exact state was. I'll give it another try
at some point.

I reapplied the ebf package, and everything looks normal now, so
something must have prevented it from installing the correct version the
first time around.
