Default Novell question - 12-08-2003 , 09:16 AM

I have several clients who get the following when starting their db server.
The novell environment varies from 5 to 6, but the message is basically the
same. These clients are running dbsrv8.nlm version 8.01.2600.

I'm running Easylender in a Novell 6.0 sp 3 Enviroment. I bring down the
database every night for backup. When the database comes up on the morning,
I get the following messages on the server. How can I fix this?

12-03-2003 7:00:01 am: SERVER-5.60-0 [nmID=6001D]

Cache memory allocator out of available memory.

12-03-2003 7:00:01 am: SERVER-5.60-0 [nmID=2000A]

Short term memory allocator is out of memory.

99 attempts to get more memory failed.

request size in bytes 134221824 from Module DBSRV8.NLM

Donna,
I don't believe this message is from the Sybase software but from Netware
itself. My guess is that it is a warning that there is not enough physical
RAM to sastisfy the dbsrv8's request for 134221824 bytes of RAM (134 Megs
approx.)

RIck
