Default Need assistance unloading and reloading database - 08-06-2009 , 12:33 PM

I have SQL Anywhere 9. I am trying to restore a client's
database with Adaptive Server Anywhere 9 (They provided me a
user login and password). I receive the message that I'm
trying to connect a version 6 database running on a version
9.0.2.2451 server. When attempting to unload and reload into
a new database, I receive the error message, "SQL error:
Permission denied: you do not have permission to select from
"SYSUSERPERM" The database 'pcare' could not be unloaded."

Is there anyway I can get around this? Do you know where I
can download an older version (version 6) of Sybase Central?

That would indicate the userid you have does not have
the permissions of a DBA. If the customer can provide
that userid/pwd combination then you should be good on
that score.

If not, then you have a whole bunch of work ahead of
you. The problem should be the same using the
older software as well, so sourcing SCView (from
the customer) will not get around this.

Maybe knowing the reason behind the need to ?restore?
the database may give someone more of an idea of
what needs to happen here.
