I have SQL Anywhere 9. I am trying to restore a client's database with Adaptive Server Anywhere 9 (They provided me a user login and password). I receive the message that I'm trying to connect a version 6 database running on a version 9.0.2.2451 server. When attempting to unload and reload into a new database, I receive the error message, "SQL error: Permission denied: you do not have permission to select from "SYSUSERPERM" The database 'pcare' could not be unloaded." Is there anyway I can get around this? Do you know where I can download an older version (version 6) of Sybase Central? |

That would indicate the userid you have does not have the permissions of a DBA. If the customer can provide that userid/pwd combination then you should be good on that score. If not, then you have a whole bunch of work ahead of you. The problem should be the same using the older software as well, so sourcing SCView (from the customer) will not get around this.
