Default Multi-database Query - 12-24-2009 , 01:24 PM

Hi,

Is there any way to create a query that joins two tables
that reside in two different databases?

I use one database to collect raw data and another to store
processed data (resulted from processing the raw data). As
the raw data is pretty big and is only used for the initial
processing, it would help to keep them in a separate
database.

Thanks.

Hi Irving,

Yes - to do this, you need to create a "remote server" and a "proxy
table": http://dcx.sybase.com/index.php#1101...-accessrd.html

There should be simple examples of how to do this in the help. Please
let us know if you need additional assistance setting this up.

Regards,
