Default Missing DLL - 08-27-2009 , 11:52 AM

I have a PowerBuilder 11.5 application creating an ODBC connection to a
SQLA9 database using the SQLA10 ODBC drivers. It errors out saying that
"libct.dll" is missing. Why is an ODBC connection looking for this file?
All of the documentation that I see indicates that libct.dll is not
required for ODBC connections.

I don't know. Really!

libct.dll is from the OpenClient CT-Library API

Could they be picking the wrong ODBC driver maybe?
[an iAnywhere one for ML/ASE?]

Libcs.dll and libct.dll may have once been part of
our PHP install with v9 ... could that be it?
[Breck once mentioned doing a Google for
"php_sybase_ct.dll" on this topic a number
of years back ]

They could be required for a remote server using
an old non-wire-protocol DSN to ASE ....

That is actually more odd...

A missing database interface DLL should be reporting the error: "DBMS
ODBC is not supported in your current installation."
