After installing ASA8 on the machine of our customer, it seems that this installation spoiled Java JRE 1.4 which was installed there before. Our customer claims, that JRE131 which is included in Sybase shared folder overrides somehow his Java 1.4 installation.
We install ASA8 as part of the installation of our software, using InstallShield. In theory, Sybase's JRE131 should not influence the system settings, but in practice it did. What can be done to avoid this behavior?
