I tried to rebuild a ASA 7 database Latin1252 from ASA 7 to 9. This worked without problems. Then I tried to do the rebuild again after adding -zutf8 to the dbinit. Then the rebuild does not work anymore. It seems to have problems with ñ. What is special about this character? Rebuild is done by: dbunload dbinit dbisql Thanks Eric |

Did you follow the instructions provided here when rebuilding an ASA database and changing the collation? http://www.ianywhere.com/developer/t...collation.html |

Of course I did not. I should have known there was a solution for this and should looked on your site first. That on-line doc has been added to the documentation in SQL Anywhere 10. You're not the first person to have trouble with this process. |
