Our old system ran on Windows Server 2003 with the following configuration:
Glassfish Application Server with web application using the jConnnect driver to connect to a SQL Anywhere Database.
Now we need a more powerfull server.
As operating system we can choose between CentOS and Windows Server 2008 R2.
We would like to run on the new Server Glassfish 3.1.1 and Sql Anywhere 12 Web Edition.
The web application should use the iAnywhere driver instead of jConnect.
Does anybody has some experience with this configuration?
Are there any known or unsolved problems with one of the two operation systems CentOs 6.5 or Windows Server 2008 R2 concerning the mentioned configuration?
I have only experience with Sql Anywhere on Windows and I had never
serious problems with installation, connecting to databases etc.
However it seems that Glassfish performs better on Linux.
Any suggestions how we should decided?
Thanks a lot.
Best regards
