Default What is this Connection? - 12-20-2004 , 08:16 AM

Hi All,

I have 2 Sybase Dataservers (one running ASE 12.5.1 and the other
running ASE 12.5.2). Server #1 hosts a few tables that are shared via
the proxy mechanism with server #2, and I see the following connections
to server #1:

login pid spid blkd host program name command
dbname
------------ ----- ---- ---- ---------- ----------------
---------------- ------------
NULL 2 0 DEADLOCK TUNE
master
NULL 3 0 MIRROR
HANDLER master
NULL 4 0 <astc> ASTC HANDLER

NULL 5 0 CHECKPOINT
SLEEP master
NULL 6 0 HK WASH
master
NULL 7 0 HK GC
master
NULL 8 0 HK CHORES
master
NULL 9 0 PORT MANAGER
master
NULL 10 0 NETWORK
HANDLER master
NULL 11 0 HBC HANDLER
master
NULL 12 0 JOB SCHEDULER

NULL 88 0 <rep agent> REP AGENT

jstask 12865 16 0 JS Agent AWAITING
COMMAND sybmgmtdb
jstask 12865 17 0 JS Agent AWAITING

jstask 12865 20 0 JS Agent AWAITING
COMMAND sybmgmtdb
jstask 12865 21 0 JS Agent AWAITING
COMMAND sybmgmtdb
jstask 12865 22 0 JS Agent AWAITING
COMMAND sybmgmtdb
sa 496 33 0 SPRING OmniServer-170 SELECT
master

I'm assuming the access of the physical tables on server #1 by server #2
are responsible for the process running "OmniServer-170". Is this correct?

TIA

That's correct. the '170' represents the spid in server2 that is
responsible for this connection.

Steve

What's more, this session originates from an ASE server named 'SPRING'; and
specifically, from session 170 in that server.

HTH,
