Does EMC MirrorView work well with Sybase ASE? -

MirrorView is a data sync technology used by EMC CLARiiON
storage systems. It can synchronize data synchronously or
asynchronously.

Does anyone ever perform testing on Sybase high-availability
with MirrorView, or even roll it out to production?
We are planning to setup a test ASE using raw devices (Sun
Solaris 8), and test the contingency site using MirrorView.
Should I simply setup an ASE dataserver on the primary
server? On the contingency server I think I just need to
load the ASE software and copy the config/interfaces/RUN
files from primary. During failover test I can try starting
up the same ASE on the contingency server and see if it can
come up successfully.
Can this replace BCP solutions using Sybase replication?
Please feel free to show your comments/advise. Thanks!
