Default Improved Response Time with Increased Load - 01-30-2006 , 11:08 AM

Hi,

I've done Performance Test of a web application using Documentum and
Sybase for 3 kinds of database loads (with same number of users,
transactions/hits etc for each load) using Load Runner. The
transactions where Search, View, Check In and Check Out.

In case of Search and View, what I observe is the response time
decreased with increasing load (database records and docs). Below given
is the response time range readings in seconds for 3 loads.

Current Mid Full
Search 2.6365 ~ 6.1 2.6265 ~ 4.332 2.059 ~ 2.816 - Decreased
View 2.067 ~ 3.525 1.882 ~ 2.43 1.569 ~ 2.041 - Decreased
Check In 0.88 ~ 1.86 1.516 ~ 2.366 1.808 ~ 2.282 - Increased
Check Out 0.677 ~ 0.958 0.985 ~ 1.383 1.416 ~ 1.659 - Increased

If you have any inputs regading this behavior, it would be of great
help. Please let me know if you need any further information /
clarifications.

Thanks in Advance,
satmon
