Has anyone been successfully installing ASE 12.3 or ASE 15 on Fedora core 4. I got an error message regarding missing file libstdc++.so.5. |
|
Apparently, a few people have eperienced the problem. I have tried every solution I could find from searching the internet and none of them has worked for me. I was able to download the missing library from redhat site and was able to install it. I make a soft link to /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5 as suggested in some of the solutions I found. Still no luck. |

Has anyone been successfully installing ASE 12.3 or ASE 15 on Fedora core 4. I got an error message regarding missing file libstdc++.so.5. Make sure that you install both compat-libstdc++ RPM packages: compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.fc4 compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-132.fc4 Michael |

compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.fc4 install fine. The other RPM depends on libgcc_s.so.1 which exists on the system, but for some reason the installation process is not finding it. I set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to were the file is locate and I am still getting the same problem. |
