Default Illegal disk address range - 09-17-2008 , 02:09 AM

I am trying to initialize a very large logical 135gig and I
am getting an error

Illegal disk address range. The sum of VSTART and SIZE must
be less than
16777216 (0x1000000).

How can I find out how much device size my OS permits

This is the version string
Adaptive Server Enterprise/12.5.3/EBF 13325
ESD#7/P/Sun_svr4/OS 5.8/ase1253/195
1/64-bit/FBO/Fri Mar 24 11:00:22 2006
