Default Funky error when installing SQLXML 3.0 SP2 (sqlxml.msi) - 01-21-2004 , 12:26 PM

My system meets all the requirements listed at MS, but I'm unable to
complete the setup process.

I get the following message: "An error occured during the installation
of assembly component {303994BA-6487-47AE-AF1D-7AF6088EEBDB} HRESULT:
-2147024894." I think "-2147024894" is an error generated when a
registry key can't be found.

I've scoured this group and others looking for a solution, but haven't
found one.

I would greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks,

John

Hi John,
I have never seen this error before so I am not sure if I can be really
helpful. Some of the things that I would try out are:
1. MSXML4 SP2 should be on the machine.
2. .Net Framework 1.1 or 1.0 should be there. This is not required and
should not cause any problems but could be causing problems.

Did you see any other warnings when installing?

Thank you,
Amar Nalla
