Default Upcoming Changes to SSMS: Solution Explorer Removed? - 10-08-2008 , 10:28 PM

Reading this document: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143729.aspx
about changes in SQL Server 2008, I noticed a comment that Solution Explorer
and source control integration will be removed in a future version of SQL
Server Management Studio.

I've tried various Google queries about this, without success. Does anyone
know what the future plans are for SSMS? Will we be forced to use Visual
Studio for future database development?

Without Solution Explorer and source control integration, it seems to me
that SSMS will be pretty much the same as SSMS Express is now. It's a pity
if we will be pushed into using Visual Studio, just when Microsoft got
intellisense and debugging working in SSMS with 2008.

Cheers
Si
