When I select my external tool SSMS prompts me (through all unsave tabs) to save each unsaved tab. How do I get SSMS to just start my exe without having to save or cancel every open/unsaved tab? |

You can file a suggestion on http://connect.microsoft.com/sqlserver/feedback for such an option. As a matter of fact, I found https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLSer...dbackID=347003 which discusses precisely this. -- Erland Sommarskog, SQL Server MVP, esquel (AT) sommarskog (DOT) se Links for SQL Server Books Online: SQL 2008: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/sqlserver/cc514207.aspx SQL 2005: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/sqlserver/bb895970.aspx SQL 2000: http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinf...ons/books.mspx . |

The URL is something like social.msdn.microsoft.com. -- Erland Sommarskog, SQL Server MVP, esquel (AT) sommarskog (DOT) se Links for SQL Server Books Online: SQL 2008: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/sqlserver/cc514207.aspx SQL 2005: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/sqlserver/bb895970.aspx SQL 2000: http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinf...ons/books.mspx . |

No this is the place, I got here by logging into my MSDN subscription and clicking the Microsoft Managed Newsgroups link. |

Let me ask the question differently? Why aren't I getting my MSDN Managed Newsgroup support? |
