In SQL Server 2005 Management Studio, the Connect to Server dialog has a combobox for "Server name" that remembers any servers I have ever connected to. Some of those servers no longer exist. Is there a way to remove entries? |

Also note, this no longer works in SQL Server 2008 SSMS AFAICT. |

You can close SSMS, rename mru.dat (you'll need to search for this file, and it may be hidden, I forget). Caution! This will delete all your servers (you can't pick and choose). Also note, this no longer works in SQL Server 2008 SSMS AFAICT. Thanks to both of you, that worked fine. Fortunately I only had a couple servers that I wanted to keep. |

If you'd like to help contribute to fixing this behavior in a future release, please vote on it (I filed a Connect item earlier today): http://is.gd/nS6E Thanks to both of you, that worked fine. Fortunately I only had a couple servers that I wanted to keep. |
