Default SQL Server Management Studio Express - 06-26-2009 , 10:31 AM

I have installed on a user the SQL Server Management Studio Express
console and they have full control , at least I think so to the a
specific database. The problem is that the user needs to be able to
click on the relationship diagram button in the console but it is greyed
out.

How can i give him access to this button ?

Not really sure what button that is (I hardly use the toolbar) or
whether it may be a permission issue.

However, since the table designer is a piece of crap, I would rather
see it as a feature that it's not available.

Use the various sp_helpxxx insted to find information, and ALTER TABLE
commands to make changes.

The SQL server is 2000. I have told the database person to use the
command line but he wants to view the diagram.

I was not able to reproduce the situation, or I did not understand what
button you are talking about.

Anyway, I stand by opinion that everything that disables any part of the
Table Designer is a good thing.
