Default SQL Server Management Studio Express on a USB Flash Drive - 12-19-2008 , 08:20 AM

As I am often called to move from desktops to desktops, I would like to be
able to install SQL Server Management Studio Express (2005 0r 2008) to a USB
flash drive to have it readily available wherever I am working at the time.

Has anyone installed it successfully to a USB flash drive?

Thanks

Sorry. Management Studio requires registry entries installed on the
operating system, so that's not going to work. It needs lots of other stuff
too, but I won't bother to enumerate them all. You can install all the
required stuff and make the registry entries but that just means you are
installing Management Studio on each computer, and that's what you are
trying to avoid.
