Yes, please first check if your SQL Server 2008 is an Express Edition as Ekrem mentioned. Then if you have SQL Server 2005 Management Studio installed, SQL Server 2008 Management Studio will not be installed. In this case, I recommend that you first uninstall SQL Server 2005 client tools from add/remove programs. upgrading from CTP6 is supported, but there are many who have had problems
doing that. If you have databases you want to keep, you can attach them to
RC0 once you have it installed.
There is absolutely no reason to uninstall anything of SQL 2005.

upgrading from CTP6 is supported, but there are many who have had problems
doing that. If you have databases you want to keep, you can attach them to
RC0 once you have it installed.
There is absolutely no reason to uninstall anything of SQL 2005.
