Sql Server 2005 Setup will not run - 11-13-2008 , 08:28 AM

I have been trying to get the SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition setup to run
on my Windows Server 2003 machine without success. I double click setup.exe
and nothing happens. The following is what I am getting in the event viewer:

Faulting application setup.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module ntdll.dll,
version 5.2.3790.3959, fault address 0x0001a3e1.

I tried updating the Windows Installer, but that didn't help.

Any suggestions about what I can do to get the setup program to run?
