Default SQL Profiler - 05-12-2008 , 02:18 PM

I can never seem to get the filters to work in SQL Profiler. I've tried to
set HOSTNAME and NTUSERNAME to mine however when I run the trace all
connection request are shown. Am I missing something???

Thanks

Wayne,

I don't know what edition of SQL Server you are running, but there is one
issue that often results in more rows returned that the tracer (such as you
or I) would want.

SQL Server 2000 - A empty cell, if being filtered on, is not filtered out.
(Empty (or NULL?) = True)
SQL Server 2005 - Same behaviour, unless you click "Exclude rows that do not
contain values" on the filter form.

FWIW,
