Default SQL Editor Hangs on sql cmd - 10-27-2008 , 11:24 AM

Hello, and thanks for your assistance in advance. I am running Sql Server
2008 Express with advanced services. Every time I run a sql script, it just
hangs.....the action line just shows "Debugging Query". There are no other
errors or problems. Any query does this. I have reinstalled twice and same
thing.

Thanks,
chris

Are you hitting F5 or the "!" icon (execute button)? Or are you hitting the
debug button (looks like a green "play" icon)? One of the first things I do
when I install a new copy of 2008 SSMS is customize the toolbar and get that
debug button out of there. It reminds me of Query Analyzer's "execute"
button and to be honest if I ever have a need for debugging in SSMS I will
be able to handle going through a menu to get to it.
