Default SQL 2005 MaintenanceCleanupTask Issue - 10-08-2008 , 02:14 PM

What is not functioning corretly.
I set up a job to delete old backup files, so I dont need to do it manually.

I execute the job to test it. The job states its a success.
I look and the files are not deleted.

How do I troubleshoot this?

Ensure that you type the correct and full path which contains backup files.
If there are subfolders under the main backup folder, mark "Include
first-level subfolders" checkbox.

Check the File extention to be "bak". Do not put a period or asterisk before
"bak" text in this textbox.

Ensure that the backup files that you want to be deleted are older than what
you configured in your plan.
