How did you make E disk to be local for VM?
In VMWare Workstation I selected VM->Settings. In that dialog I clicked
add. And in the next dialog I selected that I wanted a new hard disk.
Once VMWare had created the hardware, I right-click My Computer, and
selected Manager, and then I formatted the disk under Disk Management.

Now I have Enterprise Manager with several registered servers (local and
a couple of production servers). Will I be able to create a similar
structure in VM or I'm just waisting my time?
I seem to recall that you can move these from one machine to another
by exporting and importing registry files. That your machine is a VM
has no importance.

Thank you.
It did not work for me. I was able to add the drive, but when I'm starting
VM it brings the dialog saying that it cannot connect to that drive and give
3 options - Retry, Cancel, Continue. Retry doesn't do anything.
I'm going to try another machine. I played with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
(Host) and XP Pro (Gest)

Best Regards.
