Default running jobs from sql agent talking to remote machine - 02-09-2009 , 01:10 PM

we have brought up a new db machine and moved all of our sql agent jobs to
the new machine. We have several console apps that run from another server
on our network that most of the agent jobs kick off. We had all of the jobs
working fine from our older db machine, but we are receiving permission
issues when trying to run them from the new db machine.

I have already change the login account for sql server agent to be an
account that is on both my new db machine and the machine where the apps are.

What other security items am i missing?

Thanks

Check the security event log of the target machine for clues and logon type
failures. Common ones would be;

Logon Type 4 – Batch
Logon Type 5 – Service

Control Panel|Admin Tools|Local Security Policy\Local Policies\User Rights
Assignments
"Log on as a batch job"
"Log on as a service"
