Default Reverse Engineering / Forward Engineering - 09-25-2008 , 02:15 AM

What is latest version of Visio available that can be used with MS SQL Server
2008 database. It should support functionality like

1. Compare Visio Logical Data Model with SQL Server 2008 Database ( like
update command in the MS Visio 2005 Enterprise Architect).
It should support the 'Update changes in the database' and 'detect
changes in the database' features.
2. Forward Engineering with SQL Server 2008 database.
3. Reverse Engineering with SQL Server 2008 Database.

Using Visio 2005 Enterprise Architect, we can not detect the database
changes with/ Update changes to SQL Server 2008 database. We tried to connect
to 2008 database and we get the following error

'The currently selected Visio driver is not compatible with the data source'.

We are using following software
1. Microsoft office Visio for Enterprise Architects (11.4301.6360) 2.
Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition 10.0.1600.22 3. Operating System is
Windows XP.
