Sankar
My initial guess is that some database operation timed out.
Can you please try to run setup with SQL profiler attached and see what
happens?
If not, you may wnat to run a verbose installation and post the log.

msiexec.exe /i BPASETUP.msi /L*v .\bpainstall.log

Hi Christian,

Thank you.

I did run - msiexec.exe /i BPASETUP.msi /L*v .\bpainstall.log - and have the
last feww lines from
bpainstall.log here posted as the log file is 1.26 MB in size.

Property(C): BPAVALIDATIONSUCCEEDED = 1
=== Logging stopped: 4/19/2004 11:10:52 ===

MP
1603 is a fatal error. Usually something very basic went wrong (reading a
system folder, temp folder, accessing registry, etc).

Can you retry setup generating a verbose log? It should help us get better
idea of what's going on:

msiexec.exe /i BPASETUP.msi /L*v .\bpainstall.log

Also, what version of windows are you running on?

Hi Christian

Thanks for your help. Apparently I have downloaded the file into another drive which is not accessible to administrator. Now I copied the file to C drive and it installed successfully
