I own both Red-Gate and AdeptSQL. The Red-Gate product is so slow it's
almost unusable. AdeptSQL is unbelievably fast. In fact, Red-Gate takes at
least 20 minutes to compare my two databases containing roughly 3200
objects. AdeptSQL takes under 1 minute. Adept also allows me to execute
change scripts right inside the program. I have to copy and paste in
Red-Gate. Adept has at least 2 frustrating bugs which the author seems
unwilling to acknowledge (I've tried twice) but fortunately they are fairly
easily worked around. Red-Gate also has a bug in that it doesn't recognize
changes in foreign key contraints.
