Default Measuring Table Activity - 08-25-2003 , 04:22 PM

Hello:

I am a new to SQL and I have inherited a SQL 2000
database (Enterprise Edition) that has a few hundred
tables. I want to know which tables in the database have
the most activity so I can begin to look at the index
performance of these tables. I looked at a couple of
tables that I know are heavily used and most of the
indexes were heavily fragmented

Does SQL have a native tool to track the workload
associated with the tables so I can see which ones are
the most heavily used?

Any suggestions or references to reference material would
be appreciated

Brennan
