Default Management Studio 2005 fails to start - How to fix? - 03-16-2009 , 02:28 PM

Hi
When I start SQL Management Studio 2005 SP3 the following message comes up.

Could not load file or assembly 'EnvDTE, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral,
PublicKey Token=b03f..." or a one of its dependencies. The system cannot
find the file specified.

What's my next step?

Thank you
Greg

Uninstall / reinstall client tools and then SP3?

Another side-by-side problem. You probably installed VS 2008 or SSMS 2008.

Go to add-remove programs Select SQL 2005 and choose "Repair". You can
select down to Client Tools Only so it won't affect any SQL Engine stuff.
