Is there somewhere I can download just the client tools install for 2005?

If you have an MSDN subscription, you can use the client tools from any
edition you can download there.

If you have an existing non-Express edition you can install the client tools
from that media.

You can buy the developer edition for $49 from many resellers such as
Amazon, buy.com, etc.

What you will find for free out there to download is just the limited
Express Edition of management studio.
