Default Install problem - 11-03-2008 , 08:43 AM

Hi,

I'm trying to install SQL Server 2005 on my HP DL360 G5 server running MS
Server 2003 R2 STD Edition. I need it for Backup Exec and Blackberry Server.

During the install I got this error:

SQL server setup failed to modify security permissions on registry key
SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\ MSSQLServer\
SuperSocketNetLib for user Administrator. To proceed verity that the
account and domain running SQL Server Set Exist.

I have the SQL using the Admin account and password to install and run …..

I also don’t know anything about SQL really …. Can anyone help?

Cheers'
Dave
