Hello, * * I'm not sure if I'm posting to the correct group, but I don't see a microsoft group explicitly for data minig and I would think SSAS falls under the category of a "tool" for SQL server. * * I have a mining structure set up with the intent of predicting sales by product category per month. I have structured the data such that I have the input, predictive, key and keytime values supplied. I have also set the periodicity hint to 12. The model processes the training data without issue. However, when I want to analyze the accuracy of that data using the test data (a random set containing 10% of the original rows), I am not able to select my Time Series mining model on the "Select Predictable mining model columns to show in the lift chart" section of the "Column Mapping" tab in the "Mining Accuracy Chart" tab. * * When I attempt to select the mining model, I get this message: "A mining accuracy chart cannot be displayed for a mining model using this algorithm type." * * Which I take to mean you can't have a lift chart for a time series algorithm. However, this seems ridiculous. What good is the algorithm, if I can't verify the accuracy of the results? I have googled this message to no avail. Does anyone have any idea why this would not work? Thanks, Dave |
