Default copying stored procedures from one server to another... - 05-09-2008 , 10:46 AM





We are using SQL Server 2000.

I want to copy a bunch of stored procedures from the development SQL server
to the live SQL server.

Is there a tool that allows you to do this?? DTS does not seem to have this
functionality...

Brad,

Right click on the development SQL Server database in Enterprise Manager,
choose All Tasks / Generate SQL Script, then walk through the dialogs
choosing the objects for which scripts should be generated.

This should create a script of stored procedures that you can then run on
the production SQL Server to create the new and/or changed stored
procedures.
