Default BIDS for SQL2008 Small Business Edition - 06-15-2010 , 11:52 PM

A company I am consulting with has a Small Business subscription that
includes SQL2008 Standard Small Business Edition.
I have install the SQL Engine and SSIS components on their server, they use
one instance for DEV and PROD.
I need to install SSMS and BIDS on a workstation for development, the DVD
for SQL2008 Small Business will only allow components to be installed on
Server OS, not XP Pro. The workstations are running XP Pro.
What are my options for installing SSMS and BIDS on the development
workstations? I download SSMS Express and it will supply SSMS but not BIDS.
How can I go about installing BIDS in a legal way?
The Small Business edition allows 75 devices to connect, so I'm covered on
CALs.

I think you should direct this question to your local Microsoft office,
since this may be a licensing issue. That is, the license may not permit
you install the tools on a workstation components.

Then again, you could get a copy of Developer edition for 50 USD, which
is probaly least hassle.
