I am using SQL Server Express 2005 on a Windows Server 2008 server. I noticed that the included Windows Server Backup fails if the SQL Server VSS Writer is running. I stop it, backup runs fine. Is that the way it's supposed to work? Also, VSS Writer service is set to Automatic, should I just disable it, is it meant for something I don't need/use? Thanks! |
