Default Backup database - 06-08-2009 , 03:18 PM

Hello,
I need to backup SQL server data bases. I plan to use Enterprise manager to
plan regular backup.
There is many databases in the database folder. Can I plan backup only for
master database to backup all databases, or it is necessary to plan backup
for each database in the folder separately?
Thank You for answer
JN

You need to plan for the backup of each database. Whether or not their backup
files should be in the same folder or in a separate folder for eahc database
is matter of your own preference. It doesn't really make much of difference
one way or another.

Individually and make sure to backup the logs as well. Think of the data in
the database as base backup + logs=total database state.
Backup the master to save global settings like logins and Database
properties etc.
