Well, I got this bright idea to remove SQLExpress 2005 from my Visual Studio 2008 installation, and replace it with SQLExpress 2008, even though SQLExpress 2005 was working just fine and dandy. Now, when I try to attach a database, I get the following error in Visual Studio, when the code calls the database: "You're trying to connect to a database in your App_Data directory, and your SQL Server installation does not support User Instances." Now, I know for a fact that it does support User Instances, because I ran "sp_configure" and verified that User Instances were already on. Any idea what I'm missing here? -- Regards, Fred Chateau |
